Bai Tho Junks is proud to be the first and only company in Ha Long Bay to operate boats using bio-diesel, also known as green diesel. Biodiesel is mostly produced from vegetable oil and can be used as a substitute for diesel. Some environmental benefits of biodiesel include producing less toxic pollutants and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Bai Tho Junks is the first company in Ha Long, with the support of JICA-Japan, the local authority of Quang Ninh province in cooperation with the National University of Hanoi to test the use of biodiesel fuel on tourist boats visiting Ha Long Bay. Victory Star Cruise (QN8888) was the first cruise to operate with 5-10% biodiesel. The project has been reported in Quang Ninh online newspaper

In addition, Bai Tho Junks also pays great attention to environmental protection activities, limiting the use of plastic and single-use items.

On the cruise, we have provided reusable water bottles in the rooms and at the reception area for guests to easily refill water and be assured of use during the trip. Bathroom amenities such as shower gel and shampoo are also decanted into bottles, not using single-use items.
