OUR STORY
Founded in 1991, Bai Tho Tourist Transportation Company is one of the pioneers operating boat tours on Halong Bay. We were the first company to provide both luxury day trip and overnight cruises on Halong Bay. Our long history with the bay is what sets us apart. Started with with a few wooden-limited capacity boats for very simple daily tours to visit Ha Long Bay, Bai Tho Junks has become the top cruise operator in Halong Bay, with thousands of happy traveller each year.
These traditional Vietnamese boats, with their distinct shape and design, have been a part of the bay’s landscape for centuries. Sailing on one of these boats offers a unique and authentic way to experience the beauty of Halong Bay.

Bai Tho Junks, was founded by Madam Vu Thi Bich Hong and her husband Mr Pham Van Hoa. With a lifelong dedication to developing tourist boats that showcase the beauty of Vietnamese craftsmanship, they have created an unparalleled experience for travelers. Their passion for building traditional cruising boats has not only preserved the cultural heritage of Vietnam but has also brought immense joy to countless explorers.
The name “Bai Tho” holds significant meaning for the founders, as it is derived from the Bai Tho mountain, a renowned tourist destination in Halong city. This majestic mountain offers breathtaking panoramic views of both Halong Bay and the city itself. From humble beginnings in 1991, Bai Tho Junks has etched a rich legacy in the annals of Halong Bay cruise tour operations. Positioned as the first to pioneer overnight cruises on the iconic bay, our journey has been one of innovation, commitment, and a relentless pursuit of offering an unmatched experience.
Bai Tho Junks had provided both Luxury day cruise and overnight cruises on Halong Bay adding the option of any special events for visitors to Ha Long.
We currently have 3 sub-brands, namely Victory Cruise & Victory Star Cruise, Treasure Junk. All of our boats are designed in respect of traditional features while being equipped with modern amenities and ensuring the safety of passengers. The traditional Vietnamese detailing combined with onboard personalized service will bring to you the traditional, local Vietnamese vibes without skimping on comfort and luxury.
